PHARMACEUTICAL SYSTEMS FOR THE MANUFACTURING OF ORAL SOLID DOSAGE FORMS
The solutions cover a wide range of processes for the manufacturing of oral solid dosage forms like mixing and granulation, drying, agglomeration and coating. DIOSNA is also offering combined systems which enable multiple process steps. Modular laboratory plants, like the MiniLab RC, are suitable for R&D and clinical trials while systems like the granulation line CCS/CGS 150-1300 are optimised for the large-scale production of pharmaceutical products.
MIXING AND GRANULATION IN ONE STEP
The mixer-granulators made by DIOSNA focus on the special demands of the pharmaceutical industry. The P1-6 allows the user-friendly development of dry mixtures and wet granulates in a small scale and turns out to be very versatile as a benchtop unit with easily removable bowls and touchscreen. The movable P/VAC - 10 is the functional extension of the P1-6.
The processor P/VAC 10-60 for the manufacturing of clinical batches enables the flexible transfer from R&D to large-scale production. As a fully-featured production machine, it allows the preparation and drying of the granulate in a vacuum. Finally, a series of pharmaceutical machines is available for full production capacity; they range from P300 to P1800 and with 300 l to 1800 l they allow an efficient mass production.
FLUID BED PROCESSORS FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY
The DIOSNA fluid bed processors enable drying, spray-granulation, powder and pellet coating from small-scale to large-scale production. The MiniLab RC (RC stands for Rapid Change) is designed as benchtop device for research and development works. Comfortable operation, easy cleaning and high flexibility are some of the advantages of the compact system, these advantages also apply to the larger version, the MidiLab RC system.
Larger sizes are captured by the CAP 10-80 RC. It will work with a flexible range of batches as well as an easy handling, which allows fast and very efficient change of bowls and technologies. The most comprehensive systems are the fluid bed processors CAP 150 - CAP 1800. These include, among others, binder tanks, cleaning stations, calibration mills, lifting columns and vacuum conveyor systems.
GRANULATION LINES - MIXING, GRANULATING AND DRYING IN COMBINATION
DIOSNA’s granulation lines combine the functions of pharmaceutical mixer-granulators and fluid bed processors in one system. The granulation line CCS 10-80 RC is a space-saving system controlled by two HMIs that optionally allow the simultaneous or independent use of both plant components. The flexible series enables changing between bowls of different sizes without tools. Further advantages are the easy accessibility and cleaning of all components.
The same benefits are offered by the larger granulation lines CCS/CGS 150-1300 that have been optimised for large batches. In all lines, the innovative "Through the wall" installation ensures the strict separation of production and technical area. Beside the granulation lines, also the single pot processors are part of the multi-purpose pharmaceutical series of DIOSNA.
COATERS FOR R&D, CLINICAL BATCHES AND PRODUCTION SCALE
Coaters made by DIOSNA offer various application possibilities and exact coating results. Homogeneous coating is also ensured on products with unfavourable flow characteristics. The flexible MidiLab RC in modular design is equally suitable for film and sugar coating. Furthermore, it allows an easy changing of different process modules like a fluid bed or a high shear mixing module. The mobile housing encloses all units, has a useful work surface and a swiveling and tilting touchscreen for operation. While the movable MidiLab RC allows batches in R&D scale, the fixed HDC (Horizontal Drum Coater) is suitable for full production capacities. One advantage is the drum design that facilitates the use for all types of tablets. Easy cleaning and fast access to the function-relevant parts are further benefits.
UNIVERSAL MIXERS FOR THE FOOD, COSMETIC AND CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES
DIOSNA’s universal mixer of the V 10-200 series operate within the food, cosmetics and chemical industries. The production of spices and herbs mixtures, instant soups and sports nutrition is all possible, as is the production of dental mixtures, face powder and eye shadow. The universal mixers V 250-1600 are designed for large batches featuring highly efficient capabilities despite a low building height.
